Spider Webs
Poor little Maddie has been very sick the last few days with a terrible cough. As always, the worst of the sickness started on Friday night. Does that only happen to me? Kids always get sick on the weekend?!? Anyway, we took her in to the Insta Care today and she has "severe bronchitis." One of the funniest parts of her visit to the Dr. was the chest x-ray. The Dr. was trying to explain to her that he needed to take a picture of her lungs so he could see if there was a problem. Maddie started to get very nervous and said, "But what if there are spider webs in there?" We all had a good laugh about that! I am sure that sometime I will be watching Spongebob Squarepants and there will be an episode where someone had spider webs inside them... Thankfully there were no spider webs, but there was bronchitis. She is on strong antibiotics for the next 5 days along with a breathing treatment. Thank goodness for modern medicine and Dr. offices open on he weekend!

Ellie, our little climber....
Ellie has a few favorite spots throughout the house. They include the dishwasher, the refrigerator, and Maddie's desk. As you can imagine, none of them are my favorite place for her to be! Ellie even knows the "click" the dishwasher makes when I open it up and she will come crawling from far far away for a chance to play in there! Grandpa Jeff Keith climbed onto the top of the refrigerator at her age, so we are counting our blessings she is not that ambitious!
This is Halloween
We had an awesome Halloween! Mark dressed up as The King from the Burger King commercials. I'm telling you, it was the funniest, creepiest costume in the world! He literally spent an hour on Halloween night signing autographs and taking pictures with the Trick-Or-Treaters! Maddie was a dark witch, after changing her mind only a hundred times. We went from Princess Leah, to Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, to a Fairy. Finally settled on the dark witch and that was a lot of fun. Ellie kept up the tradition of being a pumpkin for her first Halloween. One huge benefit of living in Arizona is that we don't have to worry about getting warm costumes! In fact, it was so hot on Halloween that Mark didn't wear the tights that went with his costume!
Webkinz
One of Maddie's most recent obsessions in life are these stuffed animals called Webkinz. She talks about them non-stop, asks for a new one every day, wants to take them everywhere with her, you get the picture! A few days ago we were talking about a friend of hers who has 12 Webkinz and Maddie only has 2. Of course you probably already know where that conversation was headed.... So I explained to Maddie that she has something so special that her friend doesn't have, baby Ellie! Her friend wants a baby sister so much that I told Maddie that she would likely trade all 12 of her Webkinz for baby Ellie. Maddie's eyes lit up and she said, "Can you call her mom?"
First Post Ever!
Well, I have been inspired by many friends and family that it is time to start our blog. Coming up with the name for our blog was the most challenging of all (thus far!) My favorite was Keith Klux Klan. Mark thought that could be offensive... so we settled on the slightly cheesey Keith Konnection. Nevertheless, the point of a blog is to keep in touch with firends and family you don't get to see all of the time, right?!?
After seeing many of your blogs I am now convinced that blogging is not for super geeks, so I am ready to embark on the journey. Not sure how I will come up with the time for it, but I'll tell myself it's like keeping the journal I should have been keeping all of these years!
